An operator.
We spent years watching the same thing happen in every Indian city with a decent job market. Someone moves for work. Calls a broker. The broker calls back three days later. The flat is unfurnished, overpriced, and the WiFi takes six weeks.
We thought: this is a solvable problem. So we started Urban Mace. Took two buildings in Bengaluru. Furnished them. Put good people on-site. Found tenants without a single broker. Watched it work.
Then we built the switch. — an operating company with a proven model, a real team, and a very clear idea of what we're building and why.
